Terms of use & advertising terms

1. Reading the magazine

• Reading is free and does not require an account. Paid placements are marked with their package badge (Cover, Premium, Featured); the Hive Directory is free.
• Spreads, premium pages, classifieds, promos and tour cards are advertisements written or supplied by the businesses that appear in them. We lay them out and review them for the content rules below, but we are not a party to any transaction between you and an advertiser and we do not guarantee their offers, prices, availability or services.
• Cards labelled Sample illustrate a layout and are not offers.
• Promo codes are honoured by the advertiser under the terms printed on the card; expiry dates are the advertiser's.
• Reviews are your own opinion. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, confidential or written for someone else. We moderate reviews and may decline, edit for length or remove them; businesses may post one public reply.
• Bookings and inquiries you send through the magazine are forwarded to the business; the business is responsible for confirming and honouring them.
• You may link to any page of the magazine. You may not scrape, copy or republish spreads, photos or logos without permission from their owners, or interfere with the site, its analytics or its API.

2. Advertising packages and terms

Packages, inclusions and prices are listed on the Advertise page and in your invoice. Current plans:

• All prices are in Philippine pesos and exclusive of 12% VAT, which is added on the invoice.
• A term starts on the day your spread is activated (or a later start date agreed in writing) and ends on the expiry date shown in your invoice and report. Terms do not auto-renew; we send reminders before expiry.
• The Cover Spread is a single slot. It is allocated to one advertiser per month in order of approved payment; if the slot is taken we offer the next available month.
• The free Hive Listing runs for 12 months, is approved manually and may be renewed on request. We may decline or remove a listing that does not meet the content rules.
• Add-ons (Premium Page, Classified, Promotion card, Travel & Tours card, Boost) run for their own fixed terms and follow the same payment rules.
• We may change prices for future orders; orders already invoiced are not affected.

3. Ordering, invoicing and payment

• Orders are placed by inquiry (form, email) and confirmed by an invoice sent by email with a private payment page.
• Payment is by GCash or bank transfer (GCash 0917 319 5941 (vHive Solutions) · BPI acct available on request. Upload your proof of payment on the link in your invoice email.). Upload your proof of payment on the payment page or send it by email; we verify it manually and activate your placement within one business day of approval.
• If a proof cannot be verified we tell you why and the order returns to "awaiting payment". Unpaid orders are cancelled after 30 days.
• Official receipts are issued on request to the billing details you provide.

4. Content rules and approval

• You confirm that you own or are licensed to use every logo, photo, text and link you give us, and that your business, offers and claims are lawful and accurate.
• We lay out your spread in the magazine theme. We may edit copy for length, spelling and house style; we will not change the meaning of an offer without asking.
• We review every placement before publishing and may decline content that is misleading, infringing, offensive, political, adult, gambling- or loan-related without proper licences, or otherwise unsuitable for a general business audience. Declined orders before activation are refunded in full.
• The Verified badge means we confirmed the business exists at the details given; it is not an endorsement.
• We may pause or remove a live placement that breaks these rules, becomes the subject of a credible complaint, or whose links stop working, after notifying you. Where removal is not caused by the advertiser we extend or refund the unused portion of the term.
• Embedded HTML in spreads and premium pages is sanitised; scripts and tracking pixels are not allowed.

5. Cancellations and refunds

• Before activation: you may cancel an order for a full refund of any amount paid.
• After activation: placements are sold for a fixed term and are non-refundable, except where we fail to publish or keep the placement live for the paid term through our own fault, in which case we refund or credit the unpublished days.
• You may ask to change the content of a live spread at any time; one revision per month is free.

6. Reports and analytics

Each paid placement includes a private report link showing impressions, views, clicks and outbound taps, updated daily from anonymised events. Numbers are our own measurement, provided as-is; small differences from other tools are normal. Keep your report link private — anyone with the link can view it, and you can ask us to regenerate it.

7. Liability

The magazine is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to an advertiser for any claim relating to a placement is limited to the amount paid for that placement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.
